Child Care Initiative
Caring for children in a safe and developmentally nurturing environment is of tremendous importance to students, staff and faculty. Access to high-quality child care can significantly enhance the ability of our students, staff and faculty to contribute to the University community, pursue their academic and professional goals, and support parents as they strive for balance between work and family life.

Building on its long history of valuing and excelling at early childhood education, research and service through its nationally accredited child care centers, the University of Michigan is now working toward increasing capacity, developing new infant and toddler programs, and significantly improving the facilities in which these services are offered.
